The novel Waghte Jang Dotarat ra Kouk Kon (Tune Your Lams at Wartime) written by Yousef Ghojagh (1394 AD) is a geographical and historical novel that recounts the expansionism of Tsarist Russia in the eastern deserts of the Caspian Sea in a literary narrative. This novel is the first literary work that, taking a social realism approach, expresses the historical, political, and social facts of the genocide known as Geok Tepe. In this descriptive-interpretive research, using content analysis, the reflection of this historical event was studied in the aforementioned literary work. The point of departure for the research was the following two questions. Firstly, whether the author has been able to reflect the historical event avoiding mere emotions or not? Secondly, to what extent are the historical references of this novel consistent with historical documents? The analysis reveals that the author by accurately reflecting the causes of the attacks of the Tsarist Russian troops in three battles with the Turkmen people in the years 1873, 1878, and 1881, has created a literary narrative conforming to the historical documents of the event of Geok Tepe and the death of nearly fifteen thousand people, amid the silence of the Qajar government, and finally the signing of the Treaty of Akhal whereby Iran, in favor of Tsarist Russia, ceased claim to a part of its territory.
