Karaj-i Abu Dulaf, a city founded in the late second century AH by Abu Dulaf—one of the military commanders of Harun al-Rashid—played a significant role in the military and political developments of this region as the administrative center of the Abu Dulafid dynasty. This city was recognized not only as an administrative and military hub but also as a center for cultural and social activities. Research indicates that the Amirs of Karaj-i Abu Dulaf were influential in shaping many of the region's military developments. The primary question of this study is: what role did the Amirs of Karaj-i Abu Dulaf play in the military developments of Iraq al-Ajam? Utilizing authoritative historical sources, this research investigates the conquest of Karaj and its associated wars during the Islamic era, analyzing the city's role in the military arena. According to surviving historical documents, the Abbasid caliphs and other rulers consistently recognized the strategic importance of this region. Consequently, this study employs a critical approach to examine the role of the Abu Dulafid Amirs in these military shifts, demonstrating how these rulers managed to influence political and military trajectories. <span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">درجغرافیای تاریخی ایران در دوره اسلامی، منطقه عراق عجم به عنوان یکی از نواحی کلیدی در تحولات اسلامی شناخته می‌شود. کرج ابودلف، شهری که در اواخر قرن دوم هجری توسط ابودلف، یکی از سرداران هارون الرشید، تأسیس شد، به عنوان مرکز حکومتی خاندان ابودلف نقش مهمی در تحولات نظامی و سیاسی این منطقه ایفا کرد. این شهر نه تنها به عنوان یک مرکز اداری و نظامی، بلکه به عنوان کانونی برای فعالیت‌های فرهنگی و اجتماعی نیز شناخته می‌شود</span> .<span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">تحقیقات نشان می‌دهد که امیران کرج ابودلف در شکل‌گیری بسیاری از تحولات نظامی منطقه عراق عجم تأثیرگذار بوده‌اند. سوال اصلی این پژوهش این است که امیران کرج ابودلف چه نقشی در تحولات نظامی این منطقه داشته‌اند؟ این پژوهش به بررسی وضعیت فتح کرج و جنگ‌های مرتبط با آن در دوران اسلامی می­پردازد و با استفاده از منابع تاریخی معتبر، نقش این شهر را در عرصه نظامی تحلیل می­کند. با توجه به اسناد تاریخی موجود، خلفای عباسی و دیگر حکام نیز همواره به اهمیت استراتژیک این منطقه توجه داشته‌اند. بنابراین، این پژوهش تلاش دارد تا با رویکردی انتقادی به بررسی نقش امیران کرج ابودلف در تحولات نظامی بپردازد و نشان دهد که چگونه این امیران توانسته‌اند بر روندهای سیاسی و نظامی تأثیرگذار باشند.</span> https://hsow.journal.araku.ac.ir/article_736819_b61cae772e1ccf4a3363fb38bedc4620.pdf
